I began making glass creations 28 years ago as a traditional stained
glass artist. The desire to experiment and to see how far I could transform
glass gave way to this passion I call hot glass! There is something to be said about manipulating a plain cold piece of glass in a flame to transform it into
a piece of beauty. Being seduced by all the colors and possibilities as I work
the glass in the flame is an experience that only another lampworker or glassblower can understand. I think that everyone has someone in life that tends to inspire them, mine is my dearest partner, mentor, and fellow glassblower artist Rob Saydek. I thank him for always making me believe
that I could accomplish this.
Enhancing my glass beads with sterling silver and selling them under my Kaleidoglass brand has become very rewarding. My jewelry can be found
in galleries and shops throughout the country. I've also been a featured artist
in numerous fine art festivals and juried exhibitions. I also find great joy in teaching lampworking. You can usually find me surrounded by eager students at GoggleWorks in Reading, PA. In addition to teaching lampwork beadmaking,
I am the president of The Penn Dragons, the Eastern Pennsylvania Chapter of the International Society of Glass Beadmakers.
